Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you," "your," or "User") and Vision Infinity Solutions FZE LLC ("Vision 8 Solutions," "we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in Ajman, United Arab Emirates, governing your use of the Scraper8 web scraping API service ("Service").

By creating an account, generating an API key, or using the Service in any way, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Acceptable Use Policy.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Scraper8 provides a web scraping API that allows users to programmatically extract content from publicly accessible web pages. The Service includes:

• A managed REST API with multiple endpoints (scrape, extract, batch, raw)
• An account dashboard for managing API keys and monitoring usage
• An open-source scraping engine available for self-hosting
• Documentation and support resources

• You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account
• You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must notify us immediately at support@vision8solutions.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

• API keys are credentials that authenticate your requests to the Service
• You must keep your API keys confidential and treat them as sensitive credentials
• Do not share API keys in public repositories, client-side code, or any publicly accessible location
• You are responsible for any usage incurred through your API keys, whether authorized or not
• If an API key is compromised, immediately deactivate it through your dashboard and generate a new one
• We store API keys as irreversible SHA-256 hashes — we cannot recover a lost key; you must create a new one

Your use of the Service must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
• Scrape personal data (PII) in violation of privacy laws such as GDPR, CCPA, or PDPA
• Circumvent access controls on websites you are not authorized to access
• Engage in any activity that disrupts, damages, or overloads target websites
• Scrape content protected by copyright for redistribution without authorization
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or exploit the Service infrastructure
• Resell or sublicense API access without prior written consent
• Use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or malicious purpose

6.1 Free Plan

The free plan provides limited access to the Service at no charge. We reserve the right to modify free plan limits at any time. No credit card is required.

6.2 Paid Plans

• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance
• All prices are in US Dollars (USD) and exclusive of applicable taxes
• Each API request counts as exactly 1 credit regardless of the engine used or complexity — no multipliers
• Unused credits do not roll over to the next billing period
• Plan upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle

6.4 Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on paid plans. If you are unsatisfied within the first 7 days of a paid subscription, contact us for a full refund. After 7 days, payments are non-refundable. Refunds are not available for partial months or for accounts terminated due to Terms violations.

• Each plan has daily and monthly request limits, and a concurrency limit
• Exceeding rate limits will result in HTTP 429 responses until the limit resets
• We reserve the right to throttle or suspend accounts that exhibit abusive patterns
• Automated retry loops without exponential backoff may be treated as abuse
• We may impose additional rate limits to protect the stability of the Service

8.1 Our IP

The Scraper8 brand, API, dashboard, documentation, and proprietary infrastructure are owned by Vision 8 Solutions. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

8.2 Open Source Components

The Scraper8 scraping engine is available as open-source software under its respective license. Use of the open-source components is governed by that license, not these Terms.

8.3 Your Content

You retain ownership of any data you submit to or retrieve through the Service. We claim no ownership over the content you scrape. However, you are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to access and use any content obtained through the Service.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND AVAILABILITY.

• We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of scraped content
• We do not guarantee that the Service will successfully scrape any particular website
• Website structures, anti-bot measures, and terms of service change — we adapt but cannot guarantee universal access

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VISION 8 SOLUTIONS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, REVENUE, BUSINESS, OR GOODWILL, WHETHER CAUSED BY BREACH OF CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100 USD.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Vision 8 Solutions, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights
• Content you access, scrape, or distribute using the Service

• You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through the dashboard
• We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy
• We may suspend the Service for maintenance, security incidents, or regulatory compliance
• Upon termination, your API keys are deactivated and your right to access the Service ceases
• Sections that by their nature should survive termination (IP, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) shall survive

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by email notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with any changes, you must stop using the Service.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Ajman, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Ajman, UAE.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Vision 8 Solutions regarding the Service. They supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral.
